Overall Rating- 4/5
Icebreaker is a reverse grumpy/sunshine romance with a cinnamon-roll MMC with some wholesome content and some......not so wholesome content😉
I loved this for a couple reasons. This book made me laugh so much! There is a lot of guys just being guys; clowning around with each other, laughing and looking out for each other and the girls. It reminded me a lot of my time at university; running around, stressed about studies, the joy and stress of doing a sport. I made me miss university a bit.
The spicy content was three from the very beginning to the very end. And it did not disappoint. I didn’t have a problem with that. All I’m going to say is toilet scene on Halloween…….
Henry is my favourite character in this whole book. We all need a Henry in our lives. He’s just so sweet and loveable and the perfect gentleman. He deserves his own book and love story. Besides Lola, I don’t think anyone cares for Anastasia the way Henry does. Yes, Nate is in love with her, but this is a different type of love. Henry is just the perfect gentleman. We all deserve a Henry.
The MOUTH on Nathaniel Hawkins!!!! My good Lord! The boy knows how to praise. He might be a giant golden retriever, but damn, he can talk dirty. I loved the development of Nate and Stassie's relationship and the "natural" fruition and development of it. I also love the relationship between all the hockey guys and the girls and how special it is.
I laughed so much and was so happy reading this. I got many butterflies (not all in my heart). Felt very warm and fuzzy and all round enjoyed it and haven't stopped raving about it. This is one of those TikTok viral books, and I can see why. My rating is for the amount of spice in it. The romance and “touch her and you die” parts of it added to the rating as well. This is one of the viral books I would recommend.
Everyone should go read it
